SHASWAT KUMAR DAS is the founder and CEO of Grøn Tek Concrete and Research Pvt. Ltd.
(GTCR), Bhubaneswar, India. GTCR is an organization that is primarily working on green building materials
from industrial wastes and allied areas. Apart from GTCR, he is working as a researcher at CSIR-Institute of
Minerals and Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar, India, in waste valorization and utilization. He has obtained
his B.Tech in Civil Engineering degree with Honours from Govt. College of Engineering, Keonjhar, India, and
has published more than 35 technical articles in journals and conferences. He is an awardee of the prestigious
ASTM International Student Project Grant for 2019 by ASTM International, USA. His areas of interest are waste
valorization, synthesis of building materials from industrial waste, geopolymers/alkali-activated materials, safe
utilization of hazardous materials, concrete carbonation, life cycle assessment, and environmental impact

SAMBITA SAHOO holds M.Tech. degree in structural engineering in the department of civil
engineering from Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) University of Technology, Odisha, Burla. She has done B.Tech. from
Dhaneswar Rath Institute of Engineering and Management Studies (DRIEMS), Odisha, Cuttack. Her area of
interest is the utilization of industrial solid waste in the preparation of cement and concrete.

SANJAYA KUMAR PATRO holds a Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)
Bombay. He has a Post Doctorate fellow at the University of Arkansas, U.S.A., and is currently a Professor
in the Department of Civil Engineering at Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) University of Technology, Odisha, Burla
[Formerly University College of Engineering (UCE) Burla]. He has published more than 90 technical papers in
journals and conferences. His areas of interest are the utilization of industrial solid waste in the preparation
of cement and concrete, application of nanoscience in concrete, computational wind engineering, energy

SYED M. MUSTAKIM holds a Ph.D. degree in chemistry and has more than 20 years of
experience in the utilization of industrial solid wastes in the manufacture of Cement and Building materials.
He has published more than 40 technical articles in journals and conferences in the field of cement-
concrete and brick manufacturing. He holds an Indian and a U.S. patent to his credit on geopolymer
