Glass fiber reinforced gypsum (GFRG) has been used in the construction of most of the transit campus hostel facilities at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati. This has been awarded GRIHA Council Award 2018 under the category of Green Buildings for adopting GFRG as a sustainable construction material.
